Jackson doc gave him anesthetic drug before death

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Michael Jackson's personal doctor administered a powerful anesthetic to help him sleep, and authorities believe the drug is what killed the pop singer, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press on Monday.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing, said Jackson regularly received propofol to sleep, a practice far outside the drug's intended purpose. On June 25, the day Jackson died, Dr. Conrad Murray gave him the drug sometime after midnight, the official said.

Though toxicology reports are pending, investigators are working under the theory that propofol caused Jackson's heart to stop, the official said.

Murray, 51, has been identified in court papers as the subject of a manslaughter investigation and authorities last week raided his office and a storage unit in Houston. Police say Murray is cooperating and have not labeled him a suspect.

Murray's lawyer, Edward Chernoff, has said the doctor "didn't prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Michael Jackson." When asked Monday about the law enforcement official's statements he said: "We will not be commenting on rumors, innuendo or unnamed sources."

Murray became Jackson's personal physician in May and was to accompany him to London for a series of concerts starting in July. He was staying with Jackson in a rented Los Angeles mansion and, according to Chernoff, found an unconscious Jackson in the pop star's bedroom the morning of June 25. Murray attempted to revive him but could not.
Police searching Jackson's home after his death found propofol and other drugs, an IV line and three tanks of oxygen in Jackson's bedroom, and 15 more oxygen tanks in a security guard's shack.

Propofol can depress breathing and lower heart rates and blood pressure. Because of the risks, propofol is only supposed to be administered in hospitals. Instructions on the drug's package warn that patients must be continuously monitored, and that equipment to maintain breathing, to provide artificial ventilation, and to administer oxygen if needed "must be immediately available."

Jackson had trouble sleeping and the official said he enlisted various doctors to administer propofol, relying on the drug like an alarm clock. He would decide what time he wanted to awaken and at the appointed hour a doctor would stop the intravenous drip that delivered the drug, the official said.

i knew it! i would stand by my instinct that someone caused his death. it won't be that simple. probably this could end up like any hollywood drama moive that we often saw in the cinema. hope the police will really crack the the case and find the one responsible for the death of king of pop.

eating while driving

have u tried eating while driving at the same time?

i tried that b4... well, it is obviously a safe thing. eating while driving, is not only dangerous, but it also means that the driver is not watching the road. anyway below is my list of 4 worst food to eat while driving

4 worst food to eat while driving:

1. burgers: the grease from the burgers would end up on ur hands... while means hands on ur steering wheel as well. 

2. drinks ( not can sized): those drinks that are bought from mac are quite hard to handle at times. i know that cars do have cup holders but often they are meant for can size. u could easily spill the drinks and make a mess at the front seat.

3. fried food: anything from old chang kee to KFC chickens are a no-no in the cars. no matter how u handle fried food while driving, ur steering wheel would bound to be oily. disgusting!

4 chocolate: like greasy food, it can coat ur fingers easily and result  in ur steering wheel becoming sticky. 

so the best is dont eat while drive. wad's the point of putting ur life on the line and attracting pests to ur front seat. food is bound to mess up ur car.

be safe, dont eat and drive. =)

they always say dogs are man's best friends.. i believe somehow or rather, we should be to communicate. they shld understand us and we shld understand them. maybe long long time ago, there is dog-human that exists.

anyway, if a 6 month old baby can differentiate between an aggressive and friendly one even without seeing one before, then it shows how amazing the brain is right? i dont believe that we start our living with an empty brain. what do u think ?

this man from florida did it. he lost his fingers to free his pet dog from an alligator. he could have lost his life easily and was lucky to escape with 2 fingers gone. but is it really worth that much?

well i guess so if the pet dog is part of ur family.. like a little sister or little baby to u. probably u will risk everything to save her life at the moment. wonder how many singaporeans will do that...? i wont do that, that's why i dont have a dog.

solar eclipse

this morning, there is the longest solar eclipse ever.. lasting around 6 mins... prior to this eclipse, some part of the India believe in some of the superstitious stuff such a possibility of upbreak of conflicts and unlucky elements.

i dont believe in such things. i believe in science.

anw, there isn't my main story. when i step out of my house this morning, the sky seems rather dark.. there was soon gusty winds and heavy rain. haha.. perhaps it is a coincidental. it seems a bit like a hollywood plot that something bad is gonna happen on this day.

but the only thing in my mind is being stuck in my jam, getting wet due to the rain and what a good weather to sleep.

Educate the elderly as well!

I am glad that the authorities are stepping up on the campaigns to remind other commuters to give up their seats to those needy. It is still a long way to go before we can achieve the desired results.

the youngster or working adults have often been the targets of these campagins. However, i feel that there is a need to educate the elderly as well. I have witnessed 3 times in 3 days that an elderly took up more than one seat. they all occured during the peak hours. all the times, the elderly put their bags and stuff on one seat and sat on the other, giving no chance to other standing commuters to take a seat.

and most importantly, in the midest of HIN1, how can those elderly cough w/o coughing their mouths? so disgusting? and the tissues paper that they use.. i am not sure they have been how many times.. they have so crumpled and small alr. one elderly even puke her phlem into a plastic bag which was on the empty seat.. o my god.. these elderly aint gracious and have no proper hygience.

i guess what really catches people's attention at most times are girls and sex stuff.

look at ping's top hits, most of the time, at least 50 % of them are related to girls. imagine if my title of this entry is ' megan fox's nip slip' .. probably it will be a top hit as well.

beside ping, take a look at the magazines in the store. more than half have pretty girls on their cover. the hotter the girl is, the better the sales is...

i guess sex do really sell. it attract attention more than any other subjects...

rich and unemployed...

i was reading a sunday time article dated 5th july, titled 'House owner fined $6000 for cutting down 3 trees'. this was yet another funny straits time article.

Mr Foo was fined 6000 dollars for cutting down 3 tree, then he sought help from his MP who wrote a letter of appeal on his behalf. he was unemployed and finding a job.

when reading till here, i thought mr foo deserves our sympathy for being fined for cutting down protected trees and the MP did a right thing by appealing on his behalf.  but when reading till the end...

the article said ' Mr foo is looking forward to moving into his $2.5 million dollars Holland home.'

haha.. usually we thought unemployed and job seekers shld be struggling with financial woes but this chap is a rich unemployed. the MP shouldn't have appealed on his behalf and let him get punished!! he is worth at least 2.5 million and wanna bargain for a 0.006 million fine ?
